Over the last year, we’ve seen a lot of violent crimes in the United States.

Freedom comes with inherent responsibilities. Gun ownership comes with the responsibility of securely storing firearms and teaching those in our home about the responsibilities involved.

My father was curious about guns.

Sure, I could have told him, “guns are dangerous, don’t ever touch a gun because they can kill people”. But I wanted him to know the truth and learn firsthand, having an opportunity to do it in a safe, responsible way where his natural curiosity is satisfied. He obtained a certification by completing that first gun course and we’ve never had a problem involving guns in our home.

are guns the answer? Is not for me to decide.
